There have been reports for the last few days about the closure of the sale of OnePlus's smartphone across India. A report claimed that the mobile retail chain has decided to stop selling OnePlus smartphones, tablets and wearable items from May 1, 2024. According to the report, the South Indian Organized Retailers Association (ORA) has written a letter to OnePlus India's Director of Sales Ranjit Singh and decided not to sell their product. The company's statement has now come out in this matter.
In the past, the report claimed that retailers across India have decided to ban the offline sale of OnePlus products. Many retailers had complaints with the company and were facing it. The company's statement has now come out in this matter. OnePlus said that the company is trying to resolve this issue with retailers.
What the company said
OnePlus said in its statement that the company has received the support of trusted retailers in India for the last 7 years and OnePlus appreciates that. At present, the company is trying to resolve the identified issues with its partner retailers. We are fully committed to further strengthening our partnership. However, the company has not said anything about whether the sale of the company's phone through the offline channel will stop from May 1 i.e. today.
Retailers had a complaint with OnePlus that the company is giving very low profit margins. Also, the company delays processing warranty and service claims. Given these serious problems, retailers had to decide to stop selling OnePlus products. According to the report, this decision will affect 4,500 stores of 23 retail chains. These retail chains are based in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Retailers are troubled by lateness
The Organized Retailers Association says that last year they faced many problems in selling OnePlus's product, which have not been resolved yet. The delay in processing warranties and claims on the part of the company has led to customer wrath, which has become another additional burden for them. Due to the problem coming from the company, the inventory of retailers is not being emptied and there is a loss in sales. Users can buy OnePlus smartphones and other products online from Amazon India.
